SASSA Will Take Solutions to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the significant amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The service issue produced for intervention encounters a significant influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it tough to the Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more means to allow the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
